Uniform Temperature Distribution Shelf

Customer Feedback
We have received feedback regarding temperature unevenness of the D-type shelf for VOS-452SD and 602S models.
◇ Even with the same sample, variations in results occur depending on where it is placed on the shelf…
◇ Drying speeds vary depending on the sample, making it difficult to determine the optimal completion timing…
Options born from customer feedback
Installing the [Uniform Temperature Distribution Shelf for VOS] will solve these issues!
By increasing the contact area between the shelf and the inner wall, a consistent amount of heat is supplied from the wall to the shelf surface. This heat conduction (heat transfer) maintains a uniform shelf surface temperature, allowing for vacuum drying with minimal temperature unevenness. Please refer to the surface temperature distribution data below.
Simply attach to the VOS-452SD and 602SD models!

  • When using 2 shelves, place them on the 2nd and 4th levels from the bottom. When using 1 shelf, place it on the 2nd level from the bottom.
  • While the temperature distribution on the shelf surface is improved, the radiant heat from the chamber walls is not. Therefore, if multiple identical samples are placed, the drying time may still vary depending on their location.
  • The effectiveness of the uniform temperature distribution shelf (such as reduced drying time) may not be achieved depending on factors such as the size and shape of the vessel, the type and amount of the sample, any contamination on the shelf surface, and the degree of contact between the vessel and the shelf.
